The ICA is working hard to have 2019 designated the International Year of Sound (by UNESCO). You will be hearing more details about this in the weeks to come as we finalize a prospectus that will be used in the application process. In the meantime, I want you to be aware of a first initiative that could be of interest to your student members.
We are having a logo design competition, to generate a logo for the International Year of Sound 2019. All student members of an ICA Member Society are invited to participate. The prize is 500 Euros. The submission deadline is 1 September 2015. Details about the competition and the application form are provided at http://icacommission.org/logodesign.html.
